Recently, Swine flu has become a major pandemic. It now has 1000 victims. This is just as big as the SARS outbreak a few years back.
Personally, I think everyone is freaking out on this. The normal flu claims a victim every day, and people think that this is a major pandemic? People are just overreacting.
Makin, its not what is happening now but it is what "Would" happen in the future. So far this flu is very similar in pattern to the Spanish flu that killed some 5 million people. Sure more people die of the regular flu every year but this flu is killing healthy people instead of the sick, young, and elderly who cannot combat it. There is a good chance that this will become a pandemic if we do not act now. You may think this is small until the death toll begins to rise steadily and quickly. Me for one think the governments of the world are showing great responsibility in what is happening and their actions today will save countless lives in the future.
