NASA launches Space Shuttle Atlantis

At 2:01:56 P.M. on Monday, May 11, 2009, the Space Shuttle Atlantins was launched from Florida on a two day journey to the Hubble Space Telescope. The astronauts will perform five spacewalks on the 11 day repair mission, installing two new instruments and repairing two others. Crew members include Scott D. Altman as the mission commander, John Grunsfield, Michael Massimo, two space-walkers, Andrew Feustel, Michael Good, two other space-walkers, Gregory C. Johnson, the pilot, and Megan McArthur, the flight engineer.

I believe this is necessary for us to keep learning about space, as we do need our major telescope to keep working.
