The recent Jesusita fire in Santa Barbara County, California, has burned more then 8,600 acres over the last 4 days of land and displaced over 30,000 citizens. Another 23,000 citizens are ready to evacuate. Fire Cheif Andrew DiMizio was quoted as saying, "Right now, if you are not evacuated in the Santa Barbara area, you are sheltering evacuees."
I think that this is terrible. How can a fire last so long an do so much damage?
