Yes, the moment that we have been waiting for is finally here. Ever since people started thinking about who would replace George W. Bush, we've wondered as to who it could be. Some said Hilary Clinton. Some said Rudy Guilani. Some said Al Gore. Some said John McCain. But no, they were all wrong. Barack Obama won the election on November 4, 2008. And today, January 20, 2009, he will be sworn in as President. Today is a historical day, because the first black President is getting sworn in.
My personal opinion on this is that America has finally proven that they are sorry for what they have done to the black people, by electing an African-American President. I think that it is great, not only because he's black, but I believe that Barack Obama will solve all, or near all, of the problems in the world.
